In 1971 – 1972, the Officers of the Eta Gamma chapter were Orvin Roberson, President; Gerald Carrington, Dean of Pledges; Arthur Ray Wilson, Chaplin, other officers were Frank Jackson, Darryl Mayfield, Raythel Whittaker, Jay Dee Anderson, Herlis Williams, and Earl Bullock.
Jay Dee Anderson was still the editor of the Yearbook and the Panther.
Orvin Roberson was the Brigade Commander of the Army ROTC detachment, James (jimikirk) Kirkwood was the Second Battalion Commander of the Army ROTC detachment. Jimikirk was the first 4-Year Army ROTC Scholarship recipient to receive a Regular Army Commission from Prairie View A&M College.
